The Diagnostic Test — Spirit of Truth or Spirit of Tradition? Use these four questions to examine yourself or guide a brother or sister through honest self-reflection: 1. The Humility Test (John 16:13 & Acts 17:11) The Question: When clear biblical evidence exposes that an inherited church belief or holiday violates Scripture, what is your immediate response? Spirit of Truth: "Let God be true and every man a liar." You yield to the text, repent, and abandon the tradition, regardless of the personal or family cost. Spirit of Tradition: You become defensive, dismiss the study, justify church custom, or claim "God knows my heart." 2. The Obedience Test (1 John 2:3–4 & John 14:15) The Question: “Now by this we know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments. He who says, ‘I know Him,’ and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.” Do you strive to obey His commandments, or do you view His law as a burden? Spirit of Truth: Obedience is your act of love and fruit of repentance. Spirit of Tradition: Uses grace as an excuse for disobedience, claiming the commandments don't apply anymore. 3. The Authority Test (Mark 7:7–9) The Question: When God's Word says one thing and your denomination or favorite preacher says another, who wins? Spirit of Truth: Scripture alone holds final authority over doctrine and daily life. Spirit of Tradition: Denominational catechisms, pastors' opinions, and family heritage overrule the text. 4. The Name Test (Matthew 1:21 & Acts 4:12) The Question: When shown that Gabriel assigned the Hebrew name Yeshua ("Yahweh is Salvation"), carrying the Father's personal redemptive signature, does your spirit leap to honor it, or do you despise its Hebrew origin? Spirit of Truth: Receives the name with reverent joy, marveling at the Father's salvation. Spirit of Tradition: Clings to familiarity and mocks or rejects the original Hebrew truth. Part 3: The Watchman’s Mandate “Son of man, I have made you a watchman for the house of Israel; therefore hear a word from My mouth, and give them warning from Me: When I say to the wicked, ‘You shall surely die,’ and you give him no warning, nor speak to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life, that same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood I will require at your hand. Yet, if you warn the wicked, and he does not turn from his wickedness, nor from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity; but you have delivered your soul.” — Ezekiel 3:17–19 To the Reader: This warning is delivered to you not in hatred, but in urgent love. You have now been shown the mirror of Scripture. The difference between what God commanded and what man instituted is clear. In Romans 8:1–14, Paul sets up an absolute, binary divide. There is no middle ground or third category: a person is either governed by the mind of the flesh (sarx) or the Spirit of God (Pneuma). Paul does not frame this test around emotional experiences or external religious performance, but around dominion, mindset, and alignment with God's law. 1. The Starting Position: Condemnation vs. Freedom (vv. 1–4) What God Said: The Mosaic Law was holy and just, but it was "weakened by the flesh"—it could command righteousness, but human nature could not produce it. God fulfilled the righteous requirement of the Law by sending His Son in the likeness of sinful flesh to condemn sin in the flesh. The Mark of Having the Spirit: The believer walks "not according to the flesh but according to the Spirit" (v. 4). The law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set them free from the law of sin and death. The Contrast: The flesh is trapped under an endless cycle of command, failure, and condemnation. The Spirit produces an internal reality where the demand of God's Word is actively loved and lived out. 2. The Mindset Test: Setting the Affections (vv. 5–6) "For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit set their minds on the things of the Spirit. For to set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace." (vv. 5–6) The Mind of the Flesh: Governed by temporal preservation, self-elevation, appetites, and autonomous human reasoning. Its ultimate end is spiritual decay and death. The Mind of the Spirit: Preoccupied with what honors God—truth, holiness, obedience, and kingdom purposes. The Test: What does the mind naturally drift toward when unrestrained? The flesh defaults to self-interest; the Spirit defaults to God's will, resulting in inner stability (life and peace). 3. The Authority Test: Hostility vs. Submission (vv. 7–8) "For the mind that is set on the flesh is hostile to God, for it does not submit to God's law; indeed, it cannot. Those who are in the flesh cannot please God." (vv. 7–8) This is the diagnostic core of Paul’s argument: The Flesh Cannot Submit: The natural human heart views God's absolute authority as an imposition or a threat to autonomy. Even when outwardly observant, it negotiates, modifies, or excuses disobedience. It is fundamentally at war with "God Said." The Inability to Please God: Good deeds, religious ceremonies, or moral philosophies done under the impulse of the flesh remain unacceptable to God because the underlying will has never surrendered. 4. The Ownership Test: The Indwelling Presence (vv. 9–11) "You, however, are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if in fact the Spirit of God dwells in you. Anyone who does not have the Spirit of Christ does not belong to him." (v. 9) Paul’s Binary Conclusion: You either possess the Spirit and belong to Christ, or you do not have the Spirit and are alien to Him. There is no category of a Christian who lacks the Spirit of Christ. The Internal Witness: If Christ is in you, the natural body remains subject to physical death because of sin, but the spirit is alive because of imputed and imparted righteousness (v. 10). The Guarantee: The same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead acts as a residing power, imparting resurrection life even to mortal bodies to walk in holiness now (v. 11). 5. The Mortification and Sonship Test (vv. 12–14) "For if you live according to the flesh you will die, but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live. For all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God." (vv. 12–14) Active Mortification: Having the Spirit does not mean passive sinlessness; it means active warfare. The true believer does not coddle the flesh or make peace with compromise—they actively put to death the misdeeds of the body through the Spirit's power. Led by the Spirit: In biblical context, being "led by the Spirit" in verse 14 does not refer primarily to mystical nudges about career or life choices; it refers directly to being led away from sin and into righteousness. Summary Table: Romans 8 Diagnostic Diagnostic Marker The Mind of the Flesh (Lacking the Spirit) The Mind of the Spirit (Having the Spirit) Primary Impulse Self-preservation, worldly interest, autonomy (v. 5) Righteousness, divine purpose, eternal truth (v. 5) Relation to God's WordHostile, resisting, unable to submit (v. 7) Submissive, fulfilled by the Spirit's power (v. 4, 7) Spiritual Fruit Death, alienation, inability to please God (vv. 6, 8) Life, peace, reconciliation with the Father (v. 6) Daily Habit Indulging or rationalizing the body's appetites (vv. 12–13) Actively mortifying the deeds of the flesh (v. 13) Identity Debtor to the fallen nature; outside Christ (vv. 9, 12) P ossessed by Christ; confirmed son/daughter of God (vv. 9, 14)

Notice that following repentance is the remission of sins, which baptism signifies, symbolically dying to sin and resurrection to a new life. The only way you can enter the Kingdom of God is by being born again, thru repentance and baptism. Are you Born again Worship God in Spirit and Truth The Gospel Deuteronomy 13 TEST Are you a true Christian? John 3:16 says: “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” Meaning: “God so loved the world” — God's love extends to all people. “He gave his one and only Son” — God sent His Son for the salvation of mankind. “Whoever believes in him” — The promise is available to anyone who places their faith and trust in Him. “Shall not perish” — Believers are delivered from eternal separation from God. “But have eternal life” — They receive everlasting life with God. Simple Summary: John 3:16 teaches that God loved humanity so much that He gave His Son so that those who believe in Him may receive eternal life rather than perish. Context: These words were spoken by Jesus during a conversation with Nicodemus about the necessity of being born again and entering the Kingdom of God. Are you Born again Yes, that is a profound structural truth in God's plan. Yeshua was literally the first human to be physically raised from the dead into an immortal, glorified body. Scripture calls Him "the firstborn from the dead" (Colossians 1:18) and the "firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep" (1 Corinthians 15:20). By looking at Christ's physical resurrection, we get the exact blueprint for what happens to the saints. The Pattern: Firstfruits and the Harvest In the biblical agricultural cycle—which God uses to explain His plan of salvation—the priest would wave the single sheaf of the Firstfruits harvest before the Father. Only after that first sheaf was accepted could the rest of the harvest be gathered. Yeshua fulfilled this perfectly. He rose as the perfect Firstfruits. Because He broke the power of physical death, those who belong to Him will follow the exact same pattern when He returns. The Ultimate Transformation When the saints are raised at His second coming, they don't return as temporary, mortal flesh like Lazarus did. They receive a physical, permanent, immortal body just like the one Yeshua walked out of the tomb with. As Paul wrote in 1 Corinthians 15:52-53: "...the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality." Connecting Physical Resurrection to the Law This physical reality hits modern church traditions with an undeniable challenge: If Yeshua is the firstborn of a brand-new creation, and we are waiting to be physically raised into glorified bodies just like His, why would we live our temporary lives in rebellion to the laws He obeyed? When Yeshua walked the earth in His physical body, He perfectly kept the Sabbath, the dietary laws, and the Feasts. When He rose from the dead, He didn't change. For a Christian to claim they are waiting to inherit a resurrection body like Christ's, while actively treating His Father's commandments as dead, is a total disconnect. "Yeshua told Nicodemus that what is born of the flesh is flesh, and what is born of the Spirit is spirit, moving like the wind. If you claim you are already fully 'born again' right now, why are you still trapped in a temporary body of flesh and blood instead of a glorified, immortal spirit body? Are you confusing the earnest promise of the Holy Spirit inside you today with the actual, physical rebirth that only happens at the resurrection of the dead?" Jesus Teaches Nicodemus 3 Now there was a Pharisee, a man named Nicodemus who was a member of the Jewish ruling council. 2 He came to Jesus at night and said, “Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher who has come from God. For no one could perform the signs you are doing if God were not with him.” 3 Jesus replied, “Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again.[ a ]” 4 “How can someone be born when they are old?” Nicodemus asked. “Surely they cannot enter a second time into their mother’s womb to be born!” 5 Jesus answered, “Very truly I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of water and the Spirit. 6 Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit[ b ] gives birth to spirit. 7 You should not be surprised at my saying, ‘You[ c ] must be born again.’ 8 The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit.”[ d ] 9 “How can this be?” Nicodemus asked. 10 “You are Israel’s teacher,” said Jesus, “and do you not understand these things? 11 Very truly I tell you, we speak of what we know, and we testify to what we have seen, but still you people do not accept our testimony. 12 I have spoken to you of earthly things and you do not believe; how then will you believe if I speak of heavenly things? 13 No one has ever gone into heaven except the one who came from heaven—the Son of Man.[ e ] 14 Just as Moses lifted up the snake in the wilderness, so the Son of Man must be lifted up,[f ] 15 that everyone who believes may have eternal life in him.” Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart, and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. 1. "Trust in the LORD with all thine heart" Meaning: Total dependence on God, not self-reliance (Prov 28:26). Insight: Relational surrender to God’s unchanging character. 2. "And lean not unto thine own understanding" Meaning: Reject intellectual pride; human wisdom is flawed (Prov 14:12). 3. "In all thy ways acknowledge him" Meaning: Constant God-consciousness in every area (Col 3:17). Insight: Turns daily life into guided obedience. 4. "And he shall direct thy paths" Meaning: God’s promise of sovereign guidance (Ps 37:23).

The Lord looked and was displeased that there was no justice." . 16He saw that there was no man; He was amazed that there was no one to intercede. So His own arm brought salvation, and His own righteousness sustained Him.… Meaning: This passage describes a society where truth and honesty are so absent that they are practically non-existent, to the point where someone who tries to live righteously is vulnerable and becomes a target. It portrays a severe moral decline where justice is not pursued and evil is widely accepted. Christianity, the most lawless religion on earth You can be sure the False Prophet and the Man of Lawlessness will certainly come from the only religion that has promoted and pushed Lawlessness (not obeying God’s Laws) since the beginning. Keeping in mind that Christianity, the most lawless religion on earth since it actually forbids observing God’s Law, is over 30% of the world, so we got our first indication of what kind of percentage we might be looking at taking the mark. If you do the things God hates and refuse to keep His commandments and encourage others to do the same, they, too, will drink the wine of God’s fury, which has been poured full strength into the cup of his wrath. They will be tormented with burning sulfur in the presence of the holy angels and of the Lamb. And the smoke of their torment will rise forever and ever. There will be no rest day or night for those who worship the beast and its image, or for anyone who receives the mark of its name.” NOT THE MARK OF GOD “YEHOVAH” Teaching against obedience to God’s commandments is a betrayal of His Word because it directly undermines His authority in four ways: It Erases the Definition of Sin: Scripture explicitly defines sin as "the transgression of the law" (1 John 3:4). If you throw out the Law, you destroy the only boundary that defines right from wrong. It Defies Yeshua’s Direct Warning: The Messiah specifically warned that anyone who breaks the commandments and teaches others to do so will be called the least in the Kingdom (Matthew 5:19).If "least" literally meant a low-ranking person inside the Kingdom, Yeshua would be saying that a carnal, commandment-breaking believer is somehow spiritually superior to John the Baptist. That makes no sense. But if "least" means the person who hasn't even entered yet (the mortal believer still waiting on the outside), the phrase makes perfect sense. It Replaces Divine Truth with Human Tradition: Bypassing God's Feasts, dietary laws, and Sabbath always leads to a common substitution—making the Word of God "of none effect" through human traditions (Mark 7:13). It Separates Faith from True Loyalty: Scripture states, "This is the love of God, that we keep his commandments" (1 John 5:3). Teaching against obedience strips believers of the concrete actions required to show true covenant loyalty. The Bottom Line: Telling people they are free to ignore the Father's instructions mimics the very first deception in the Garden: "Yea, hath God said...?" It doesn't just misinterpret Scripture; it actively trains people to live in comfortable transgression. Yeshua the Messiah Modern Christianity He kept the Leviticus food laws. Eat unclean He kept the seventh day Sabbath Holy Observe Sunday Yeshua is the LORD of the Sabbath. Only for the Jews He kept all of God’s feast days. Observe Christmas, Easter He kept all God’s commandments and statutes. Done away with He was totally submersed during baptism. Without repentance Gospel message coming to Kingdom Death burial and resurrection Sin is the transgression of the law Ten suggestions He wore tassels on the hems of his clothing. These statistics, highlighted in Barna research, indicate a shift toward moral relativism and syncretism among American Christians, prioritizing subjective experience over traditional doctrine. Key findings show that 72% argue that people are basically good. 71% consider feelings, experience, or the input of friends and family as their most trusted sources of moral guidance. 66% say that having faith matters more than which faith you pursue. 64% say that all religious faiths are of equal value. 58% believe that if a person is good enough, or does enough good things, they can earn their way into Heaven. 58% contend that the Holy Spirit is not a real, living being but is merely a symbol of God’s power, presence, or purity. 57% believe in karma. 52% claim that determining moral truth is up to each individual; there are no moral absolutes that apply to everyone, all the time Self-identified Christians are also likely to reject a number of biblical teachings and principles. For example, slightly less than half. (46%) believe that the marriage of one man to one woman is God’s plan for humanity, across all cultures; j ust 40% believe that when they die they will go to Heaven, but only because they have confessed their sins and accepted Jesus Christ as their savior; only one-third. 34% believes that people are born into sin and can only be saved of the consequences by Jesus Christ; just one-third. 32% believes premarital sex is morally unacceptable; and about one out of every four. 28% believes that the best indicator of a successful life is consistent obedience to God. Teachings that are not found in your bible and are taught as truth. One compromise here, another there, and soon the so-called Christian and man in the world look alike a.w Tozer When Christians die, they go to heaven. They are in a better place. The Old Testament is for the Jews and the New Testament is for everyone else. No one can keep the commandments. You can live like the devil and still go to Heaven. God’s holy Sabbath's day of rest is done away with. The Sabbath was changed to Sunday because the Apostles met on the first day of the week. The Leviticus food laws, that God said don't eat or touch unclean meat, are only for the Jews. There is a secret rapture for Christians only, excluding them from the tribulation. The law of God was nailed to the cross. Carnal Christians are not under the law, but they are under Grace. Yeshua did it so we don't have to. Once saved always saved. Just ask Yeshua into your heart for salvation. The only requirement for Believing is acknowledging God’s existence. Baptism is just a symbolic meaning and is not required for salvation. The Gospel is the death burial and resurrection. Following God's instructions is legalistic. You are a Jew if you keep the food laws, the Sabbath, God's feast days, and all God's commandments like Yeshua did. It just matters what you feel in your heart, even if it is pagan. Yeshua's birth happened on December 25, and there were shepherds and sheep in the fields and Mary and Joseph were required to travel in the winter. The church can Christianize pagan holidays, like Christmas, Easter, and Halloween. Paul's misunderstood letters nullify God’s word and His instructions. A time will come when people will not listen to accurate teachings. Instead, they will follow their own desires and surround themselves with teachers who tell them what they want to hear. 2 Timothy 4:3 There are consequences— eternal consequences—to our actions. What we do is evidence of what we believe. Don’t be misled—you cannot mock the justice of God. You will always harvest what you plant. 8 Those who live only to satisfy their own sinful nature will harvest decay and death from that sinful nature. But those who live to please the Spirit will harvest eternal life from the Spirit. Dear children, do not let anyone lead you astray. The one who does what is right is righteous, just as he is righteous. 8 The one who does what is sinful is of the devil, because the devil has been sinning from the beginning. God only gives His Spirit to those who keep His commandments Narrow way Living in the Spirit Those controlled by the flesh cannot please God. 9 You, however, are controlled not by the flesh, but by the Spirit, if the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Christ. 10But if Christ is in you, your body is dead because of sin, yet your spirit is alive because of righteousness.… Romans 8:9 which states that God gives the Holy Spirit to those who obey Him. This principle emphasizes that a willing, obedient heart is a key condition for receiving and experiencing the empowering presence of the Spirit. Acts 5:32, But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his." Here is a clear Yes/No self-assessment to help determine if you are currently walking in the Spirit (according to the Bible — Galatians 5:16-25, Romans 8:5-14). “Am I Walking in the Spirit?” Test Answer Yes or No honestly to each: create a test 1 John 3:4 (KJV), the verse reads: "Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law." Answer Yes or No honestly to each question to examine your heart. The "Walking in the Spirit" Deep Reflection Test Spiritual Deafness: When Scripture or a sermon convicts me of a specific change I need to make, do I listen and act immediately, rather than tuning it out or making excuses to justify myself? The Internal Battle: When I am tempted to break one of God’s commandments (in my thoughts, words, or actions), do I feel an immediate, sharp internal friction from the Holy Spirit urging me to stop? Worship in Spirit: Is my private devotion—when absolutely nobody else is looking or listening—just as earnest, real, and passionate as my public religious behavior? Spiritual Blindness : Am I quick to notice and convict myself of my own hidden sins (like pride, resentment, or greed), rather than just pointing out the obvious sins of the world around me? The Still, Small Voice: In the middle of a busy day or a stressful situation, am I quiet enough to hear and recognize the Holy Spirit's promptings regarding my attitude or speech? Keeping His Commandments: Do I view God's laws as a joyful path of protection and fellowship that I want to keep, rather than a heavy burden I have to drag around? The Internal Reality: When someone wrongs or provokes me, do I actively rely on the Spirit to change my internal feelings toward them, rather than just forcing a fake smile on the outside? Recognizing the Blindspot: Am I genuinely willing to ask God to show me the faults in my character that I am currently blind to, and am I ready to change if He reveals them? Ritual vs. Spirit: If all religious structure, services, and routines were stripped away today, would my personal, daily walk and communication with God remain completely intact? Hardening the Heart: Am I aware of any area where I have repeatedly ignored God's warnings to the point where my conscience no longer bothers me about it? "Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts as you did in the rebellion." — Hebrews 3:15 "Son of man, you are living among a rebellious people. They have eyes to see but do not see and ears to hear but do not hear, for they are a rebellious people." — Ezekiel 12:2 "God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth." — John 4:24 Reflecting on Your Answers Mostly "Yes": This indicates an active, living connection where your spiritual senses are sharp. Your ears are open to His voice, you are fighting the internal battle to keep His commandments, and you are operating from a place of true, spiritual reality. Several "No" Answers (especially on Questions 1, 5, and 10): This is a warning sign of spiritual deafness. When we repeatedly ignore the promptings of the Spirit or turn a deaf ear to God's laws, our hearts naturally begin to harden, and His voice becomes harder to discern. If you are struggling to hear Him, it is a direct call to clear away the noise, stop resisting, and pray: "Lord, take away my stubbornness, open my ears, and give me a heart that hears and obeys." Key Bible Truth: “Walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh … Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit.” (Galatians 5:16, 25) True life in the Spirit is marked by freedom, fruit, and dependence on God — not perfection, but direction. A key verse is Romans 8:9: "But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his." Other verses about having the Spirit of God: Other verses about having the Spirit of God: 2 Corinthians 13:5 "Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith... Know ye not your own selves, how that Yeshua Messiah is in you, except ye be reprobates?" Galatians 4:6 "And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father." 1 Corinthians 3:16 "Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?" 1 Corinthians 6:19 "What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you ...?" Ephesians 1:13 "After that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise." 1 John 3:24 "And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us. " 1 John 4:13 "Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit." According to Scripture, the presence of God's Spirit is evidenced by faith in Messiah, obedience to God, and a transformed life: "And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments." (1 John 2:3) "If ye love me, keep my commandments." (John 14:15) "And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us." (1 John 3:24) 1 . The Mindset: What Governs Your Thoughts? The primary difference starts in the mind. Romans 8:5 states, "For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit set their minds on the things of the Spirit." In the Flesh: A person is trapped in their own perspective. When a trial hits, their immediate reaction comes from human instinct—fear, anger, retaliation, or self-pity. In the Spirit: A person's mind is anchored in divine truth. When the same trial hits, they pause, lean on the Spirit, and recall the commandments of God, responding with humility, truth, and faith. "In the Spirit" vs. "In the Flesh" : This refers to a fundamental shift in a believer's identity. Being in the flesh represents our old, unredeemed nature, while being in the Spirit means our lives are governed and empowered by the Holy Spirit. [1, 2] T he Indwelling Spirit: The presence of the Holy Spirit inside a believer is the defining mark of true faith. Paul uses it as proof that an individual truly belongs to Christ. [1, 2, 3] The "Spirit of Christ": Paul interchangeably uses "Spirit of God" and "Spirit of Christ," emphasizing the divine nature of the Holy Spirit and the intimate connection between the believer and Yeshua Christ. The Battle Over the Commandments Your response to God's instructions immediately reveals which realm you are operating in. "For the mind that is set on the flesh is hostile to God, for it does not submit to God's law; indeed, it cannot. Those who are in the flesh cannot please God." — Romans 8:7-8 The Flesh Rejects: Because the flesh wants to be its own god, it views the commandments as a restrictive burden. It rationalizes compromise, creates excuses, and ultimately rejects the truth. The Spirit Accepts: The Spirit gives us the supernatural ability to understand and love the commandments. It breaks the power of the flesh so that obedience isn't a legalistic chore, but a natural expression of our identity in Yeshua. The Sovereign Distinction: You cannot serve both. Walking in the flesh is relying on your own human strength and desires, which cuts a person off from salvation. Walking in the Spirit means surrendering your will to the truth of Yeshua, allowing His Spirit to produce real, righteous life within you. When Yeshua laid down this standard in John 4, He was radically redefining what it means to connect with the Almighty, breaking it down into two inseparable pillars. 1. Worshiping "In Spirit" (The Internal Reality) Worshiping "in spirit" means that your worship originates from the innermost core of your human spirit, energized and led by the Holy Spirit. Bypassing the Physical: Before Yeshua, people believed worship was tied to a physical location (like the Temple in Jerusalem or Mount Gerizim) or specific physical rituals (sacrifices, incense, holy garments). Yeshua explained that because God is Spirit, He cannot be confined to a building or moved by empty, outward motions. Heart Over Performance: It means your heart is actually in it. You can sing the songs, read the scriptures, and say the prayers, but if your mind is wandering or your heart is cold, it is just a fleshly performance. Worshipping in spirit means your inner being is actively alive and connected to God. 2. Worshiping "In Truth" (The Doctrinal Reality) Worshiping "in truth" means your worship is firmly anchored in God's absolute reality, His Word, and His commandments. Alinged with Reality: You cannot worship God based on a version of Him you made up in your own mind. It must be based on who He actually is as revealed in scripture . The Blueprint of Salvation: As noted previously, truth is non-negotiable—without truth, there is no salvation. Worshiping in truth means accepting God's standard of righteousness, acknowledging the reality of sin, and recognizing Yeshua as the only true way to the Father. It leaves no room for falsehood, self-delusion, or compromise. The Side-by-Side Balance Genuineness only happens when both elements are operating together perfectly. One without the other creates a dangerous imbalance. In Spirit (Without Truth)In Truth (Without Spirit)In Spirit AND In Truth Pure Emotion: Excitement, feelings, and high energy, but lacks a scriptural foundation. It easily drifts into false doctrine because it relies on "how I feel" rather than what is true.Dead Religion: Correct theology, strict rules, and flawless structure, but cold, rigid, and heartless. It results in a Pharisee-like walk that has the form of godliness but denies its power .True Worship: A vibrant, sincere heart that is deeply in love with God, backed by an uncompromising commitment to His absolute Word and commandments. Summary: To worship genuinely is to bring your whole heart (spirit) into perfect alignment with God's reality (truth). It is a walk where your inner thoughts, your public actions, and your obedience to the commandments all match up perfectly before the eyes of the Fathe r. Spiritual Blindness: Inability to See: Just as physical blindness prevents someone from seeing the physical world, spiritual blindness prevents individuals from "seeing" or discerning spiritual truths . This can manifest as: Lack of Understanding : Difficulty grasping theological concepts, biblical teachings, or the nature of God. Failure to Recognize God's Presence: Not perceiving God's activity in the world or in their own lives. Misinterpretation of Reality: Viewing life solely through a material or secular lens, without recognizing a spiritual dimension. Inability to See Their Own Sinfulness: Being unaware of their moral shortcomings or their need for redemption. R ejection of Spiritual Evidence: Dismissing or ignoring signs and experiences that might point towards a spiritual reality. Causes: Spiritual blindness can be attributed to various factors, including: Sin and Unbelief : A hardened heart due to persistent sin or a refusal to believe in God. Worldly Distractions: Being consumed by material possessions, worldly desires, and the cares of this life. Pride and Intellectual Obstacles: Relying solely on human reason and rejecting the need for divine revelation. Deception: Being misled by false teachings or ideologies. Spiritual Opposition : Some theological perspectives suggest that Satan or other spiritual forces actively work to blind people to the truth. (2 Corinthians 4:4) 2 Corinthians 4:4 states that the "god of this age" (Satan) has blinded the minds of unbelievers so they cannot see the light of the gospel. This spiritual blindness keeps people from perceiving the glory of Christ, who is the exact image of God. Spiritual Deafness: Inability to Hear: Similar to physical deafness, spiritual deafness describes an inability or unwillingness to "hear" or heed spiritual messages. This can involve: Ignoring God's Word: Not paying attention to or disregarding scripture, sermons, or other forms of spiritual communication. Resisting the Holy Spirit's Promptings: Ignoring inner convictions or nudges towards righteousness. Being Unresponsive to God's Call: Not recognizing or heeding God's invitations to faith and relationship. Preferring Other Voices: Being more attuned to worldly opinions or desires than to spiritual guidance. Lack of Discernment : Difficulty distinguishing between true and false spiritual teachings. Causes: Similar to spiritual blindness, spiritual deafness can stem from: Sin and Rebellion: A stubborn and disobedient heart that refuses to listen to God. Preoccupation with the World: Being too busy or focused on worldly matters to hear God's voice. Skepticism and Doubt: A closed mind that is unwilling to accept spiritual truths. Hardened Heart: A heart that has become Calloused and resistant to God's influence. Spiritual Opposition: Again, some believe that external spiritual forces can hinder people from hearing God's voice. Interconnections: Spiritual blindness and deafness are often interconnected. If someone cannot "see" spiritual truth, they are less likely to "hear" and respond to it. Conversely, if someone refuses to "hear" spiritual messages, their understanding and "sight" can become clouded. Overcoming Spiritual Blindness and Deafness: Christian theology emphasizes that spiritual blindness and deafness can be overcome through: God's Grace: Ultimately, it is God's initiative and grace that opens eyes and ears to spiritual truth. Faith in Yeshua messiah: Believing in Yeshua and accepting his sacrifice is seen as the key to spiritual healing. The Work of the Holy Spirit: The Holy Spirit is believed to illuminate the mind and open the heart to understand spiritual realities. Prayer: Seeking God's help to see and hear. Study of Scripture: Engaging with the Bible to learn about God and his ways. Fellowship with Believers: Being part of a community of faith that can offer support and encouragement. Repentance and Obedience: Turning away from sin and living in accordance with God's will. Whoever keeps His commandments remains in God, and God in him. And by this we know that He remains in us: by the Spirit He has given us. In summary, spiritual blindness and deafness represent a significant barrier to experiencing and understanding the spiritual realm and one's relationship with God. They are conditions that, according to Christian belief, require divine intervention and a willing heart to overcome. To all who are weary of the heavy burdens of the world and the confusion of the Broad Way: You are cordially invited to enter the Kingdom of God. The King of the Universe, Yehovah, has not left you to wander without a map. He has provided His Torah—His perfect instruction—to act as the light for your feet and the guardrail for your life. While the world offers a wide road of "do as you please," the Father invites you to the Narrow Path, where true freedom and lasting peace are found. Romans 8:16 "The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God." The Meaning: God’s Holy Spirit connects directly with the human spirit to give internal assurance of salvation. 1 Corinthians 2:11 "For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God." The Meaning: Just as your own deep thoughts are only known by your personal consciousness (your spirit), the deep things of God can only be revealed by the Holy Spirit. Worshiping in Spirit and Truth This is one of the most famous statements made by Yeshua regarding the nature of true worship. John 4:24 "God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth." (NKJV) The Meaning: Because God is not a physical being confined to a physical temple, true worship must happen in the spiritual realm—sincerely from the human heart—rather than just through external rituals. Testing the Spirits In the Epistles, believers are warned that not everything claiming to be spiritual is from God. 1 John 4:1 "Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world." (NKJV) The Meaning: A warning to evaluate the teaching, motive, and supernatural backing behind any spiritual message. Testing the Spirit: The Scriptural Protocol In the modern religious world, people confuse "the Spirit" with an emotional vibe, a subjective feeling, or a goosebump experience during a worship service. They hear someone speak with passion, perform a sign, or claim a direct revelation from God, and they automatically assume it is from the Almighty. But the Scripture issues a strict, legal mandate to audit and cross-examine every spiritual claim. The Apostle John gives a direct commanding order: "Test the spirits." The Confrontation: "You are completely unguarded if you swallow every teaching, every prophecy, and every emotional experience just because someone uses the name of Jesus. The spiritual realm is filled with counterfeits designed to mimic holiness while leading you straight into rebellion. The Creator did not leave you to judge by your intuition; He gave you a fixed legal protocol to test what is operating in front of you. Read 1 John 4:1." The Verse: "Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world." The Shock: "The Greek word for 'test' is dokimazō—a legal and metallurgical term meaning to assay, analyze, or put to a rigorous trial to see if it is genuine or counterfeit. If a spirit, a teacher, or a movement cannot pass the scriptural audit, you are commanded to reject it entirely, no matter how good it feels or how many followers it has." The Three Infallible Scriptural Tests To determine if a spirit is the Ruach HaKodesh (the Holy Spirit of Truth) or a spirit of deception, you must apply the three-fold protocol laid out in the literal text: Test 1: The Torah and Light Test (The Baseline) A true spirit will never contradict, alter, or relax the permanent instructions and commandments given by the Father. The Protocol (Isaiah 8:20): "To the law (Torah) and to the testimony! If they do not speak according to this word, it is because there is no light in them." The Execution: If a spirit or a teacher tells you that the Sabbath is changed, that the dietary laws are done away with, or that the Moedim (Appointed Feasts) are replaced by pagan-rooted traditions under the guise of "grace," the verdict is instantaneous: There is no light in them. The Holy Spirit is the author of the Law; He will never lead a person to break it. Test 2: The True Identity and Identity of Yeshua Test The spirit must confess and align entirely with the true, uncompromised identity, flesh, and lineage of the Hebrew Messiah. The Protocol (1 John 4:2-3): "By this you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ (Yeshua HaMashiach) has come in the flesh is of God, and every spirit that does not confess that Yeshua HaMashiach) has come in the flesh is not of God. And this is the spirit of the Antichrist..." The Execution: To confess Him "in the flesh" means acknowledging His literal, physical reality as the Hebrew Messiah who walked in perfect Torah obedience, kept the Sabbath, and embodied the Word. If a spirit presents a counterfeit, lawless, Hellenized "Jesus" who authorizes his followers to throw out the Father's commandments, that spirit is exposing itself as the spirit of the Antichrist (anomos—the lawless one). Test 3: The Fruit and Character Test You do not judge a spirit by its gifts, its signs, or its numbers; you judge it by the structural transformation it produces in a person's life. The Protocol (Matthew 7:20, Galatians 5:22-23): "Therefore by their fruits you will know them... But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law." The Execution: Look past the performance. Does the spirit produce a life of radical Teshuvah (repentance), deep humility, and a protective love for the brethren? Or does it manifest the hidden works of the flesh—pride, gossip, horizontal treason against brothers, and a stubborn heart of flint that refuses correction? The Verdict of the Audit The Spirit of DeceptionThe Ruach HaKodesh (Spirit of Truth) Promotes anomia (lawlessness) and excuses the violation of the Commandments.Writes the Torah directly onto the heart and causes you to walk in His statutes (Ezekiel 36:27). Relies on emotional highs, human traditions, and the approval of the majority.Anchors itself strictly to the literal text: "Thus saith the Lord." Breeds pride, defensiveness, and a carnal mind hostile to God's Law.Produces the visible, active fruit of righteousness and horizontal love. The Bottom Line: Stop being spiritually naive. Run every voice, every teacher, and your own internal thoughts through this exact scriptural protocol. If it fails to match the Torah and the testimony of Yeshua, hit the eject button immediately. Turn your ear back to the Law so your very prayers do not become an abomination (Proverbs 28:9). Living in the Spirit Romans 8:9 8 Those controlled by the flesh cannot please God . 9 You, however, are controlled not by the flesh, but by the Spirit, if the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Christ. 10 But if Christ is in you, your body is dead because of sin, yet your spirit is alive because of righteousness.… Jesus and the Samaritan Woman John 4:24 …23 But a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth, for the Father is seeking such as these to worship Him. 24 God is Spirit, and His worshipers must worship Him in spirit and in truth.” Whoever keeps His commandments remains in God, and God in him. And by this we know that He remains in us: by the Spirit He has given us. 1 John 3:24

As you read in the verses Paul makes it clear also, if you are led by the spirit you are not under the law, (Keeping this in mind sin is transgression of the law.) So, if you are not keeping Yehovah laws and statutes you are under the law, because there is no law against keeping His laws. A. How You Get In vs. How You Walk Paul’s Focus: Paul was dealing with a massive crisis: institutional religious leaders were telling Gentile converts that they couldn't be saved unless they underwent ritual circumcision and converted to Judaism before trusting in Yeshua (Acts 15:1). Paul fought this fiercely. He argued that a person is justified (cleared of their past guilt) by faith in Yeshua's sacrifice, not by their own track record of keeping the law. You cannot earn your way out of past sins. Yeshua’s Focus: Yeshua was speaking to people who already knew the Torah but were faking it. He focused on how a saved person walks. Once you are in the covenant by faith, obedience is the fruit of your love for Him. B. "Works of the Law" vs. "The Commandments" When Paul uses the phrase "works of the law" (especially in Galatians and Romans), he isn't talking about God's Ten Commandments or the Sabbath. In the first-century Hebrew mind, "works of the law" (ma'asei ha-torah) referred to man-made religious decrees, traditional conversion rituals, and legalistic checklists used to separate Jews from Gentiles. Paul fought man-made legalism, but he loved God’s literal law. He explicitly wrote: "The law is holy, and the commandment is holy and righteous and good" (Romans 7:12). C. The Target: The Great Harlot's Loophole The institutional church system (the "Great Harlot") took Paul's complex arguments about Gentile inclusion and twisted them into a license for lawlessness . They used Paul to create a loophole to throw out the Sabbath, ignore the dietary laws, and abandon the appointed feasts—the exact opposite of how Yeshua lived. If Paul actually taught that the Sabbath was abolished or that God's food laws didn't matter, he would have been a false prophet according to Deuteronomy 13. But Paul defended himself against that exact accusation in a Roman court: "I confess to you, that according to the Way, which they call a sect, I worship the God of our fathers, believing everything laid down by the Law and written in the Prophets." — Acts 24:14 The Verdict The difference is not that Yeshua said "Obey" and Paul said "Don't." The truth is that Yeshua is the Standard, and Paul is the Commentary. Yeshua showed us what the perfect walk looks like. Paul explained how the rest of the world (the Gentiles) could be grafted into that exact same olive tree through faith (Romans 11). If anyone interprets Paul in a way that contradicts the clear, commandment-keeping lifestyle of Yeshua, they are doing exactly what Peter warned against: twisting Paul’s words into the error of the lawless. In 2 Peter 3:15-16, Peter refers to Paul as a "beloved brother" who wrote with wisdom given to him. Peter acknowledges that some of Paul's writings are hard to understand, noting that ignorant and unstable people twist them—along with "other Scriptures"—to their own destruction God righteousness is His Torah When we read The Torah keep in mind there is a difference between Gods law and the works of the law mans law .CONCLUSIONS The “no-law” doctrine has taken Paul’s “hard to understand writings They interpret the works of the law which is the oral law of the Jews to mean that the laws of God given through Moses are no more, and in so doing, have elevated Paul’s teachings above the teaching of Yeshua and the very words of God. The filter that should be used is that God does not change, He is not a God of confusion, He doesn't lie, or that scripture cannot be broken, and it is the whole duty of m an to keep all His commandments . The decrees of Yehovah are trustworthy, making wise the simple. The commandments of Yehovah are right, bringing joy to the heart . The commands of Yehovah are clear, giving insight into living. Reverence for Yehovah is pure, lasting forever. The laws of Yehovah are true; each one is fair. T hey are more desirable than gold, even the finest gold. They are sweeter than honey, even honey dripping from the comb. They are a warning to your servant, a great reward for those who obey them. Psalm 19:7 The one who belongs listens and responds to Yehovah's words. If you don't listen and respond , it is because you don't belong to Yehovah." John 8:47 In 321 A.D., the “Christianized” Roman Emperor Constantine declared Sunday a day of rest, although it was in honor of the “venerable day of the sun,” hence the name of the day, not of the traditional Sabbath. Proverbs 28:9 If God's laws mean nothing to you You mean nothing to God But I will reply, ‘I never knew you. Get away from me, you who break God’s laws.’Matthew 7:23 All Israel will be saved If you do the things God hates and refuse to keep His commandments, you will receive the mark of the beast (Your Father the Devil) not the mark of God. “Shout with the voice of a trumpet blast. Shout aloud! Don’t be timid. Tell my people Israel of their sins! Isaiah 58:1 Yeshua is Our Advocate …3By this we can be sure that we have come to know Him: if we keep His commandments. 4If anyone says, “I know Him,” but does not keep His commandments, he is a liar, and the truth is not in him. 5But if anyone keeps His word, the love of God has been truly perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him:… Christianity the New Religion The Final Takeaway Yeshua didn't leave behind a selective checklist where people get to pick and choose which laws to follow. He left a narrow path. This test leaves absolutely no room for casual religion or intellectual debates. Yeshua didn't leave behind a philosophy to be discussed; He left a narrow path to be walked. If the answers point to a life of compromise, it isn't a cue to just feel guilty or give up—it is a direct, urgent call to repent. It means turning away from the ways of the world, picking up the truth of the Torah that Yeshua lived out, and making the firm decision to let your hands, your mind, and your daily life reflect the Master you claim to follow. If people claim to belong to Him but they refuse to live as He lived, keep what He kept, and honor the Torah the way He did, they are practicing lawlessness. True faith is not found in the empty rituals of those who rewrite His words—it is found in literal, active obedience to the Master. According to the New Testament, merely claiming to a Christian and follow the Messiah is not the same as actually following Him. Yeshua said : "And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?" (Luke 6:46) And: "If ye love me, keep my commandments." (John 14:15) The apostle John wrote: "And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him." (1 John 2:3–4) From this perspective, a person who continually refuses to follow the Messiah's teachings while professing faith creates a contradiction between their profession and their actions. However, many Christians would distinguish between: A believer who struggles with sin but desires to obey God and repents when they fail. A person who knowingly rejects God's commands and has no intention of obeying them. The New Testament repeatedly calls believers to repentance, faith, and obedience, while also recognizing that believers are not sinless and may stumble (1 John 1:8–9). So, if someone completely refuses to follow the Messiah and His commandments, many would argue that Scripture calls into question whether that person's profession of faith is genuine. Passages such as Matthew 7:21–23, Luke 6:46, and 1 John 2:3–4 are often cited in that discussion. The core biblical test is not what a person calls themselves, but whether their life shows faith expressed through obedience to God. How to Find Out Which Religion Is Right (It’s Easier Than You Think) Our Lord again reminds us that the manifestation of our love for Him will be in our obedience to His commands. Keeping Christ's commandments is and always has been the best test of our love for Yeshua Children of God Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.” And I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws. Ezekiel 36:27 This is how we know that we live in him and he in us: He has given us of his Spirit. 1 John 4:1 And For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God. Romans 8:1 1 See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are. The reason why the world does not know us is that it did not know him. 2 Beloved, we are God’s children now, and what we will be has not yet appeared; but we know that when he appears we shall be like him, because we shall see him as he is. 3 And everyone who thus hopes in him purifies himself as he is pure. 4 Everyone who makes a practice of sinning also practices lawlessness; sin is lawlessness. 5 You know that he appeared in order to take away sins, and in him, there is no sin. 6 No one who abides in him keeps on sinning; no one who keeps on sinning has either seen him or known him. 7 Little children, let no one deceive you. Whoever practices righteousness is righteous, as he is righteous. 8 Whoever makes a practice of sinning is of the devil, for the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the works of the devil. 9 No one born of God makes a practice of sinning, for God’s seed abides in him; and he cannot keep on sinning, because he has been born of God. 10 By this it is evident who are the children of God, and who are the children of the devil: whoever does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor is the one who does not love his brother. brother. My old self has been crucified with Christ. It is no longer me who lives, but Christ lives in me. So I live in this earthly body by trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. Galatians 2:20 God's seal is not a physical mark The forehead represents the mind of those who make a conscious decision to obey God's requirements to receive His seal will protect us from the last seven plagues. The Mark of God is a sign of obedience between God and His faithful Thus the Sabbath is the sign of a relationship between God and His people, serving as "a test of their loyalty to Him" Yeshua is the LORD of the Sabbath, not Sunday and they get the Mark of God will escape the plages. We are sealed by the Holy Spirit. Is a characteristic of people who have surrendered their lives to God God's seal is in His laws. Bind up the testimonies and seal the law among my disciples. God's sign is His seal, the words sing and seal are interchangeable in the bible. The Sabbath is God's sign, The Sabbath is the seventh day of the week. The fourth commandment is to remember the Sabbath. There is not one scripture in the entire Bible changing the Sabbath to Sunday. Its a sign of God's authority He chose the day. There are three elements to a legal seal, The seal giver His title His territory The Great Commission The Great Commission is Jesus's final instruction to his disciples before his ascension, found in Matthew 28:19-20. The passage says, "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." This is not just a suggestion, but a command for all who follow Him. Why It Is Considered a Sin A Command, Not a Suggestion: The Bible frames this as a clear directive. A sin is defined as "missing the mark" or an act of disobedience against God's will. Willfully ignoring a direct command from Jesus is therefore considered a sinful act. The Nature of a Disciple: In Christian belief, a true disciple isn't just a follower, but a learner and a reproducer. The biblical understanding is that a disciple of Jesus should naturally want to share their faith and help others become disciples, just as they were discipled. A Christian who has no desire to make disciples may be demonstrating a lack of genuine conversion or a spiritual selfishness that is contrary to the self-sacrificial nature of Christ. Sins of Omission: The Bible teaches that sin isn't only about doing something wrong (sins of commission) but also about failing to do something you know you should do (sins of omission). Not making disciples falls squarely into this category. It's an act of neglecting a divinely ordained responsibility. While a Christian's salvation isn't based on their ability to make disciples, their obedience to this command is seen as evidence of their faith and love for God and others. For many, a failure to engage in this work points to a deeper spiritual issue, such as fear, a lack of trust in God's power, or a love for oneself more than for others. There is now one single law that rules both Jew and Greek alike: The law of faith (Romans 3:27) The law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:2) The law of Christ = love God and love your neighbor, fulfilled by the Spirit (Galatians 5:14; 6:2; Romans 13:8–10) One God. One Messiah. One gospel. One law for Jews and Greeks: faith in the crucified and risen Jesus. That is why Paul can say in the very next breath after “neither Jew nor Greek”: “You are all one in Christ Jesus. And if you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s offspring, heirs according to the promise” (Galatians 3:28–29). Same promise. Same inheritance. Same law. No exceptions. No special tracks.

21 Steps to Salvation Calvinism vs Arminianism bottom of page click on God cannot stand the prayers of anyone who disobeys his Law. Proverbs 28:9 In Isaiah 66:15-17, we see that in the context of the Lord’s return, when He returns, He is clearly upset that people are eating pork. If He cares then, why would we assume that He does not care now? 1. Hear the True Gospel The first step of the build is listening to the unfiltered, original message of God. “From that time Yeshua began to preach and to say, ‘Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.’” — Matthew 4:17 “And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” — John 8:32 What this means: You cannot build a straight wall if you are reading a warped blueprint. Hearing the true Gospel means listening to the actual Word of God—not human traditions, clever shortcuts, or watered-down messages that just make people feel good in the pew. It is the moment you hear the real standard for the very first time. 2. Believe the True Gospel True belief is not just agreeing with facts; it is placing your absolute confidence and weight on the message. “But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.” — Hebrews 11:6 What this means: Believing means you look at the plumb line and say, "That string is perfectly straight, and I trust it completely." It is an inner conviction that drives you to action. If you don't truly believe the blueprint is accurate, you will never bother to change how you are laying your bricks. 3. Repent of Past Sins Repentance is a deliberate, U-turn in direction. It means stopping your lawlessness and turning back toward the Law of God. “I tell you, no; but unless you repent you will all likewise perish.” — Luke 13:3 What this means: Since 1 John 3:4 tells us that sin is breaking God's law, your old wall was naturally leaning and crooked. Repentance is the moment you drop your tools, admit your wall is out of line, and make a firm decision to tear down the old, lawless way of living so you can rebuild it straight. 4. Confess Faith in Yeshua Messiah Confession is the public declaration of who is in charge of your building site. “For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” — Romans 10:10 What this means: Confession is nailing your colors to the mast. It means standing up and declaring out loud to the world, to the adversary, and to the assembly: "Yeshua is my Master, and I am building my life on His foundation from this day forward." 5. Be Baptized Baptism is the physical and spiritual washing away of the rubble from your old life. “Then Peter said to them, ‘Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Yeshua Messiah for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.’” — Acts 2:38 What this means: Going under the water is the formal burial of the old, crooked structure. You don't build a new house on top of old trash. You clear the lot. Baptism washes away the stain of past lawlessness so you can step out of the water onto a clean, solid foundation. 6. Be Faithful Unto Death Loyalty to the Creator must be absolute, even when the pressure of the world threatens to break you. “Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life.” — Revelation 2:10 What this means: This is the ultimate test of the structure. When the storms of persecution, sickness, or trials hit the wall, a true believer refuses to let a single brick slip. It means your loyalty to the Master Builder stays intact even if holding the line costs you your physical life. 7. Obey Him for Eternal Salvation The author of salvation specifically identifies who His work is for: those who follow His instructions. “And having been perfected, He became the author of eternal salvation to all who obey Him.” — Hebrews 5:9 What this means: The Master Builder only claims ownership of the walls that actually followed His blueprints. Faith that refuses to obey is an illusion. Salvation belongs to the people who don't just call Him "Lord," but who actually submit to His authority and do what He asks. 8. Live Exactly as Yeshua Did The Messiah's walk on this earth is the ultimate, flawless example for our daily lives. “He who says he abides in Him ought himself also to walk just as He walked.” — 1 John 2:6 What this means: Yeshua is the living plumb line. If you want to know how to treat people, how to handle temptation, or how to keep God's commands, you look at His life. If a custom or a lifestyle choice doesn't square up with how Yeshua walked, it does not belong in your wall. 9. Do What the Word Says, Don't Just Listen True faith is an active, hands-on construction project, not a spectator sport. “But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.” — James 1:22 What this means: Sitting in a pew and nodding along with a sermon doesn't build anything. If you know what the Bible says but don't practice it on Monday morning, you are fooling yourself. True faith requires you to pick up the trowel and actually lay the bricks according to the instructions. 10. Possess the Spirit of Christ True conversion requires the supernatural presence of the Holy Spirit living inside you. “Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not His.” — Romans 8:9 What this means: The Holy Spirit is the gravity that keeps the plumb line straight. Without the Spirit living inside your heart, you have no power to keep the wall in line, and you don't belong to the Owner of the house. You must have His seal on the inside. 11. Receive the Holy Spirit Through Obedience God places His Spirit inside those who have a heart bent toward submission. “And we are His witnesses of these things, and so also is the Holy Spirit whom God has given to those who obey Him.” — Acts 5:32 What this means: God does not pour His Holy Spirit into a vessel that intends to stay rebellious and lawless. The Spirit is given as a helper to help you keep the Law. When you step out in willingness to obey, God anchors His supernatural strength deep inside your life. 12. Call on the Name of Yeshua Messiah Deliverance and strength come from actively crying out to the authority and identity of the Son. “For ‘whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.’” — Romans 10:13 What this means: When the wall is leaning, when your own strength fails, or when the enemy attacks, you don't rely on yourself. You call on the name and the legal authority of Yeshua. It is an active cry for help to the only One who has the power to hold the structure together. 13. Keep the Commandments to Enter Into Life When asked directly how to inherit eternal life, the Messiah pointed straight back to God's boundaries. “Jesus said to him... ‘If you want to enter into life, keep the commandments.’” — Matthew 19:17 What this means: Commandments are not heavy burdens; they are the side-guards that keep the wall from warping. Since sin is breaking the law, keeping the commandments is how we show we love God and want our lives to stay completely square with His righteousness. 14. Trust the Son to Not Perish Escape from the penalty of lawlessness requires absolute reliance on the sacrifice of the Messiah. “That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.” — John 3:15,16 What this means: No matter how hard we try to build straight, our past sins would condemn us if not for Jesus. Trusting the Son means knowing that His blood covers our imperfections and saves our structure from facing the ultimate collapse of spiritual death. 15. Walk by Faith, Not by Sight The Christian walk requires trusting God’s structural blueprint even when circumstances look dark and confusing. “For we walk by faith, not by sight.” — 2 Corinthians 5:7 What this means: Sometimes the fog of life rolls in, and you can't see two feet in front of you. Walking by faith means you don't guess or look around at what everyone else is doing. You trust the plumb line in your hand because you know God's weight is true, even when your eyes can't see the top of the line. 16. Obey the Son to Avoid Angry Judgment Rejecting the instructions of the King leaves a person exposed to the holy consequences of rebellion. “He who believes in the Son has everlasting life; and he who does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.” — John 3:36 What this means: You cannot claim to believe in Jesus while actively refusing to listen to Him. Intentional disobedience is rebellion, and a wall built in open defiance of the Blueprints will eventually face inspection and be completely demolished under divine judgment 17. Be Born Again Salvation requires a radical, supernatural transformation from above—not just a superficial patch-job. “ Yeshua answered and said to him, ‘Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.’” — John 3:3 What this means: God doesn't just want to fix a few cracks in your old wall; He wants to give you a brand-new nature. Yeshua told Nicodemus that what is born of the flesh is flesh, and what is born of the Spirit is spirit, moving like the wind. If you claim you are already fully "born again" right now, why are you still trapped in a temporary body of flesh and blood instead of a glorified, immortal spirit body? Are you confusing the earnest promise of the Holy Spirit inside you today with the actual, physical rebirth that only happens at the resurrection of the dead? True rebirth replaces the temporary structure of flesh with an immortal house from heaven. 18. Produce Good Deeds So Faith Isn't Dead Active obedience and good fruit are the unmistakable evidence of a living faith. “Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.” — James 2:17 What this means: Faith is invisible until it shows up in your actions. If someone claims to be a master builder but has never laid a single brick or done a single good deed, their claim is useless. True, saving faith will always show up clearly in the work you do for God's kingdom. 19. Worship God in Spirit and Truth True service to the Father requires complete honesty, removing the masks of religious pretense. “God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.” — John 4:24 "What this means: This means stop pretending to be a flawless saint in the church pew if you are falling apart on the inside. Worshiping in truth means standing perfectly vertical before God, baring your soul, and saying, "Lord, here is exactly where my wall is leaning." Furthermore, Acts 5:32 states that God gives the Holy Spirit to those who obey Him. This principle emphasizes that a willing, obedient heart is a key condition for receiving and experiencing the empowering presence of the Spirit. If you do not have the Spirit of Christ, you are none of His. Because 1 John 3:4 warns that "sin is the transgression of the law," walking in the Spirit is the only way to overcome the flesh and keep from breaking God's boundaries. 20. Endure Until the End Salvation is a marathon, not a sprint. The prize is given to those who finish the entire construction project. “But he who endures to the end shall be saved.” — Matthew 24:13 What this means: It’s not about how fast you start; it’s about whether your structure stands the test of time. True believers don't pack up their tools and walk away when the culture turns against them or when things get tough. They stay on the wall, checking the line, until the project is completely finished. 21. Be Grafted Into Israel Believers from the nations are joined directly into God’s original, enduring covenant family tree. “And if some of the branches were broken off, and you, being a wild olive tree, were grafted in among them, and with them became a partaker of the root and fatness of the olive tree...” — Romans 11:17 What this means: You are not a lone house sitting out on an island by yourself. By faith in the Messiah, God links your life directly into the great, historic fortress of His covenant people—Israel. You share in their root, their history, their promises, and their responsibilities to the King. 3 Commonly Misunderstood Bible Questions Answered For it is by grace [God’s remarkable compassion and favor drawing you to Christ] that you have been saved [actually delivered from judgment and given eternal life] through faith. Many are called but few are saved. Matthew 22:14 And this [salvation] is not of yourselves [not through your own effort], but it is the [undeserved, gracious] gift of God; God has pronounced that the penalty of sin is spiritual death and separation from God in a place of judgment called hell: “For the wages of sin is death” (Romans 6:23). Jesus clearly taught that sinners were condemned in sin and would perish and go to hell if they didn't believe in Him as their Savior (John 3:16-18). What are the 21 steps to salvation? 1 John 3:4 Whosoever committed sin transgression also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law. Hear the True Gospel. (Matthew 4:17 John 8:32) Believe the True Gospel (Hebrews 11:6, John 20:31) Repent of past sins (Luke 13:3, Acts 17:30) Confess faith in Yeshua Messiah (Romans 10:10, Matthew 10:32) Be Baptized (Galatians 3:27, Mark 16:16, Acts 2:38) Be faithful unto death (Revelation 2:10) For all who obey him eternal salvation Hebrews 5:9 Whoever claims to live in him must live as Yeshua did.1 John 2:6 But don't just listen to God's word. You must do what it says. Otherwise, you are only fooling yourselves. James 1:2 And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, they do not belong to Christ. Romans 8:1 We are witnesses of these things and so is the Holy Spirit, who is given by God to those who obey him.” Acts 5:32 “whoever calls on the name of the Yeshua Messiah shall be saved.Romans 10:13-15 For But if thou wouldest enter into life, keep the commandments. Matthew 19:16-26 That whosoever believe i n him should not perish, but have eternal life…John 3:15,16 For we live by faith, not by sight. (Hebrews 11:6) And without faith it is impossible to please God because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.2 Corinthians 5:7 And anyone who believes in God’s Son has eternal life. Anyone who doesn’ t obey the Son will never experience eternal life but remains under God’s angry judgment.” John 3: Yeshua Messiah replied, “Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again. ”John 3:3 So you see, faith by itself isn’t enough. Unless it produces good deeds , it is dead and useless. James 2:17-23 You must worship God in TRUTH and SPIRIT John 4:24 You must endure until the end to be saved . Matthew 24:13 We must be grafted into Israel. Romans 11:11-31 Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, for it is written: "Cursed is everyone who is hung on a tree." He redeemed us in order that the blessing given to Abraham might come to the Gentiles through Yeshua Messiah so that by faith we might receive the promise of the Spirit. Galatians 3:14 Explanation Obedience is a requirement for receiving the Holy Spirit, along with faith in Christ's sacrifice. Repentance, or turning away from sin and toward obedience, is also required. The Holy Spirit gives guidance and companionship, and enables people to obey, kill sin, and be sanctified. "Born of the Spirit" (regeneration) is a spiritual rebirth, a work of the Holy Spirit that gives us new life and makes us capable of understanding and responding to God. Without this spiritual birth, one cannot "see" or "enter" the Kingdom of God (heaven). 1. The Holy Spirit Indwells Believers as a Mark of Salvation :The Holy Spirit Indwells Believers as a Mark of Salvation: 2.The Holy Spirit is the Seal and Guarantee of Our Inheritance : Ephesians 1:13-14: "In him you also, when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and believed in him, were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit, who is the guarantee of our inheritance until we acquire possession of it, to the praise of his glory." 3. The Holy Spirit Regenerates and Gives New Life: 4. The Holy Spirit Sanctifies and Transforms Us: Chist redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, for it is written: " Cursed is everyone who is hung on a tree. " He redeemed us in order that the blessing given to Abraham might come to the Gentiles through Yeshua Messiah so that by faith we might receive the promise of the Spirit. Galatians 3:14 The decrees of Yehovah are trustworthy , making wise the simple. The commandments of Yehovah are right, bringing joy to the heart. The commands of Yehovah are clear, giving insight into living. Reverence for Yehovah is pure , lasting forever. The laws of Yehovah are true ; each one is fair. They are more desirable than gold, even the finest gold. They are sweeter than honey, even honey dripping from the comb. They are a warning to your servant, a great reward for those who obey them. Psalm 19:7 The one who belongs listens and responds to Yehovah's words. If you don't listen and respond , it is because you don't belong to Yehovah." John 8:47 Some say that God's promises to those who obey him include: Being blessed Being saved Being watched over Being taken care of Being given what you ask for Being happy Living longer Lacking nothing good God's Law Reflects God's Character (Who He Is): The ultimate source of all truth is God Himself. He is perfectly holy, just, righteous, good, and loving. His law, therefore, is not arbitrary rules, but an expression of His very nature. It reveals what is inherently true, good, and right because it stems from the perfectly true, good, and righteous God. Psalm 119:142 says, "Your righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, And Your law is truth. " This verse directly links God's righteousness (His character) with His law being truth. The Law as Divine Instruction and Revelation: In the Old Testament, the Hebrew word "Torah" (often translated as "Law") literally means "instruction," "teaching," or "guidance." It's not just a list of prohibitions, but a comprehensive revelation of God's will and wisdom for how humanity should live and how they can have a relationship with Him. Since God is truth, His instructions are true. They accurately describe reality, the nature of good and evil, and the path to genuine life and flourishing. Psalm 19:7-9 beautifully describes the law: "The law of the Lord is perfect, reviving the soul; The testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple; The precepts of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart; The commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes; The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever; The judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether." Notice the consistent emphasis on truth, purity, and righteousness. The Law Exposes Sin and Points to Reality: The law serves as a mirror, showing humanity its imperfection and sinfulness in contrast to God's perfect standard. In this sense, it is "true" because it accurately diagnoses the human condition. Romans 3:20 states, "for through the law comes knowledge of sin." The law truthfully reveals what is wrong, what deviates from God's intended design for creation and humanity. Jesus Christ Embodies and Fulfills the Law/Truth: Jesus said, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life" (John 14:6). He is the ultimate revelation of God's truth. He also stated that He came not to abolish the Law, but to fulfill it (Matthew 5:17). He perfectly lived out the Law and, through His sacrifice, perfectly satisfied its righteous demands on behalf of humanity. Therefore, the truth found in the Law ultimately points to and is embodied by Jesus Christ. The Law Guides Towards a True and Abundant Life: Living in accordance with God's law, empowered by the Holy Spirit, leads to a life that is truly abundant, meaningful, and aligned with God's design. This is not about earning salvation, but about living out the reality of being a new creation in Christ. The moral principles embedded in the law are timeless and beneficial for human flourishing, regardless of one's belief system. For example, honesty, faithfulness, and respect for life are universally recognized as good. In summary, when we say "the law is truth," we mean that God's law is a direct reflection of His unchanging, perfect, and truthful character. It is a divine revelation that accurately defines reality, distinguishes right from wrong, exposes sin, and ultimately points to Jesus Christ as the fulfillment of all truth and the source of true righteousness. It provides guidance for a life that is genuinely good and pleasing to God. Key Differences and Implications The Reformed (Calvinist) Order of Salvation The Armenian/Wesleyan Order of Salvation What is the Order of Salvation? The ordo salutis (Latin for "order of salvation") is a theological construct in Christian soteriology that describes the logical (not always strictly chronological) sequence of God's saving acts applied to the believer. It originates from Reformed theology but has been adapted across traditions, highlighting the interplay between divine sovereignty and human response Rooted in passages like Romans 8:29–30 (the "golden chain" of salvation), it underscores salvation as God's initiative from eternity to consummation. While all orthodox Christians affirm the core elements—such as Christ's atonement, faith, justification, and glorification—the order varies significantly between Reformed (Calvinist) and Arminian /Wesleyan views. Reformed theology prioritizes monergism (God's sole work), placing regeneration before faith, while Arminianism emphasizes synergism (cooperation via free will enabled by grace), placing faith before regeneration. The Reformed (Calvinist) Order of Salvation In this view, salvation begins with God's eternal decree and proceeds irresistibly, with human faith as a result of divine regeneration rather than its precondition. A typical sequence includes: Election/Predestination: God's sovereign choice of individuals before creation, based on His will alone (Ephesians 1:4–5). Calling: An outward gospel proclamation and inner, effectual call by the Spirit (Romans 8:30). Regeneration: The Holy Spirit imparts new spiritual life to the elect, enabling faith (Titus 3:5; Ezekiel 36:26). Conversion (Faith and Repentance): The regenerated sinner trusts Christ and turns from sin, as gifts from God (Ephesians 2:8–9). Justification: God declares the believer righteous, imputing Christ's merit (Romans 5:1). Adoption: Believers enter God's family as heirs (Galatians 4:4–7). Sanctification: Progressive growth in holiness, empowered by the Spirit (1 Thessalonians 5:23). Perseverance: God's preservation of the saints unto the end (Philippians 1:6). Glorification : Final perfection at Christ's return (Romans 8:30). This order emphasizes that no one can contribute to their salvation, avoiding any implication of merit. The Arminian/Wesleyan Order of Salvation Arminians stress prevenient (preceding) grace that restores free will to all sinners, making faith the condition for receiving salvation's benefits. Regeneration follows faith, and perseverance is conditional on continued belief. Roger Olson's classical Arminian sequence is: Electing Grace in Christ: God's election of all who will believe (foreseen faith). Atonement: Christ's universal provision for sinners. Prevenient Grace: God's enabling grace through the gospel, convicting and illuminating (Titus 2:11). Conversion (Repentance and Faith): The sinner's free response to believe and repent. Regeneration, Justification, Adoption , Union with Christ, Indwelling Spirit: Initial saving acts upon faith (John 3:3–5; Romans 5:1). Sanctification: Progressive (and potentially entire) holiness. Glorification: For those who persevere through faith. A broader Arminian outline includes universal/resistible calling before faith, with sanctification open to full freedom from sin's power in Wesleyan thought. Key Differences and Implications Faith vs. Regeneration: Reformed: Regeneration causes faith (monergistic). Arminian: Faith precedes and conditions regeneration (synergistic). Election: Reformed: Unconditional (individual selection). Arminian: Conditional (based on foreseen faith or corporate election in Christ). Calling and Perseverance: Reformed: Irresistible and guaranteed. Arminian: Resistible and dependent on human cooperation. Practical Ramifications: Reformed views foster assurance in God's sovereignty; Arminian emphasizes responsibility and warning against apostasy (Hebrews 6:4–6). These frameworks unite in affirming salvation by grace through Christ alone, differing mainly in emphasis to guard biblical truths like sovereignty (Reformed) and love for all (Arminian). The Warning for Those Who Take the Mark Revelation 14:9–11 (ESV) "And another angel, a third, followed them, saying with a loud voice, 'If anyone worships the beast and its image and receives a mark on his forehead or on his hand, he also will drink the wine of God's wrath, poured full strength into the cup of his anger, and he will be tormented with fire and sulfur in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb. And the smoke of their torment goes up forever and ever, and they have no rest, day or night, these worshipers of the beast and its image, and whoever receives the mark of its name.'" 2. The Punishment of the Devil Revelation 20:10 (ESV) "And the devil who had deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and sulfur where the beast and the false prophet were, and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever." 3. The Final Judgment of Both Revelation 20:15 (ESV) "And if anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire." Summary The Scripture makes a direct link between the fate of the devil, the beast, and those who take the mark: all are cast into the lake of fire and sulfur, where the torment is described as eternal ("day and night forever and ever"). In Jesus' words elsewhere in Scripture, this destination is explicitly described as being prepared for the devil and his angels: Matthew 25:41 "Then he will say to those on his left, 'Depart from me, you cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels.'" Christianity, the most lawless religion on earth You can be sure the False Prophet and the Man of Lawlessness will certainly come from the only religion that has promoted and pushed Lawlessness (not obeying God’s Laws) since the beginning. There will be no rest day or night for those who worship the beast and its image, or for anyone who receives the mark of its name.” NOT THE MARK OF GOD “YEHOVAH” The Mark of the Beast 16 And the second beast required all people small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their forehead, 17 so that no one could buy or sell unless he had the mark— the name of the beast or the number of its name. 18 Here is a call for wisdom: Let the one who has insight calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man, and that number is 666. The Messages of the Three Angels 6 Then I saw another angel flying directly overhead, with an eternal gospel to proclaim to those who dwell on earth, to every nation and tribe and language and people. 7 And he said with a loud voice, “Fear God and give him glory, because the hour of his judgment has come, and worship him who made heaven and earth, the sea and the springs of water.” 8 Another angel, a second, followed, saying, “Fallen, fallen is Babylon the great, she who made all nations drink the wine of the passions of her sexual immorality.” 9 And another angel, a third, followed them, saying with a loud voice, “If anyone worships the beast and its image and receives a mark on his forehead or on his hand, 10 he also will drink the wine of God’s wrath, poured full strength into the cup of his anger, and he will be tormented with fire and sulfur in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb. 11 And the smoke of their torment goes up forever and ever, and they have no rest, day or night, these worshipers of the beast and its image, and whoever receives the mark of its name.” Matthew 10:21-22 21 “Brother will betray brother to death, and a father his child; children will rebel against their parents and have them put to death. 22 You will be hated by everyone because of me, but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved. T his self-reflection test is designed to cut through the confusion and fear often surrounding this topic. In Scripture, the "marks" are not about hidden microchips or literal ink tattoos; they represent ownership, allegiance, and what rules your mind (the forehead) and your actions (the hand). Answer Yes or No honestly to each question to examine whose mark you bear in your daily life. The Allegiance & Identity Test The Ultimate Authority: When a choice comes down to following God’s explicit commandments versus following the crowd, the culture, or human convenience, do I choose God's way? The Mind (The Forehead): Is my mind primarily occupied with Scripture, truth, and how to honor God, rather than being consumed by the fears, anger, and philosophies of the world? The Actions (The Hand): Do the physical works of my hands—my labor, how I spend my money, and how I treat my family and neighbors—reflect God’s righteousness and justice? The Source of Security: In times of economic trouble or societal pressure, do I rely entirely on God to provide for and protect my household, rather than putting my ultimate trust in human systems? Open Allegiance: Am I willing to stand firmly for my faith and God's truth even if it means facing disapproval, loss, or being cut off by others? Worship in Truth: Is my worship rooted in an internal reality and a desire to keep His laws, rather than just an empty ritual or a standard routine to look good to others? Understanding the Biblical Meaning In the Bible, the concept of a "mark" is deeply symbolic of identity and ownership. It shows who has your allegiance. The Mark of God (The Seal) : In the Book of Revelation and Ezekiel, God places a seal or mark on the foreheads of those who belong to Him. This mirrors Deuteronomy 6:8, where God tells His people to bind His commandments as a sign on their hands and as frontlets between their eyes (their foreheads). It means your thoughts and your actions are dedicated to keeping His laws. The Mark of the Beast: This is the direct counterfeit. It represents a mind (forehead) and a lifestyle (hand) that has completely surrendered to the world's corrupt system, willful disobedience, and rebellion against God's commandments for the sake of survival, comfort, or fit-in convenience. "Bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. Write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates." — Deuteronomy 6:8-9 "Then I looked, and behold, on Mount Zion stood the Lamb, and with him 144,000 who had his name and his Father's name written on their foreheads." — Revelation 14:1 Reflecting on Your Answers If your life aims toward "Yes": Take heart. If you are actively striving to keep God’s commandments, relying on His Spirit, and trusting Him for your security, you bear the identity of a child of God. Perfect performance isn't the metric—the direction of your allegiance is. If you see areas of "No": It is a clear reminder of where the world or the flesh is trying to press you into its mold. If fear of the future or the pressure of the culture is driving your choices rather than God’s word, it is an invitation to draw a line in the sand. Repent, refuse to bow to worldly compromise, and commit your mind and hands fresh to the Lord today. 14 Because of the signs it was given to perform on behalf of the first beast, it deceived those who dwell on the earth, telling them to make an image to the beast that had been wounded by the sword and yet had lived. 15 The second beast was permitted to give breath to the image of the first beast, so that the image could speak and cause all who refused to worship it to be killed. 16And the second beast required all people small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their forehead,… The Mark of the Beast seal is not a physical mark. The forehead represents the mind of those who make a consonance decision to disobeys God Commandments, and The mark on the hand represents worship on Sunday. forsaking Gods Sabbaath Saturday Something to think about Nebuchadnezzar's Dream Worship the beas t Daniel 3:9 They said to King Nebuchadnezzar, “Long live the king! 10 You issued a decree requiring all the people to bow down and worship the gold statue when they hear the sound of the horn, flute, zither, lyre, harp, pipes, and other musical instruments.the statue was made for a specific purpose. With it, the king would demand total obedience and humiliation from his governmental underlings. And Daniel warns the dream means that God's Kingdom is coming to crush all other kingdoms (Daniel 2:44). But Nebuchadnezzar ignores the warning and builds a 90-foot tall statue (or image) of himself. He demands that all his politicians bow down and worship his image (Daniel 3:1, 5). He was hurled to the earth, and his angels with him - Revelation 12:9 Because of the signs it was given to perform on behalf of the first beast, it deceived those who dwell on the earth, telling them to make an image to the beast that the sword had wounded and yet had lived. - Revelation 13:14 You can be sure if the whole world is deceived this will include Christians, Muslims, Jews, and Atheists alike. But what percentage takes the mark? It’s not hard to determine who will wield the mark if you eliminate doctrine and preconceived notions. The beast is that which “…will speak out against the Most High and oppress the saints of the Most High, intending to change the appointed times and laws; and the saints will be given into his hand for a time, and times, and half a time.” This change of appointed times and Laws happened in 364CE when the Law was changed and the 4Th Commandment was replaced, moving the Sabbath from Saturday to Sunday in the Council of Laodicea. The “saints” were also mandated to be oppressed by canon law in the very same council and have been at the mercy of the Beast ever since, until 1948 . The Beast, none other than the Roman Empire that “destroyed the holy city and the sanctuary”, then suffers a mortal head wound, Caesar, but does not die. Instead, it is reborn the Holy Roman Empire with a Pope at its head. Certainly not all of them, but if my guess is close, it will be many. Christianity is the only religion that accepts a “man” to be “God”, Judaism and Islam will never accept a human claiming to be God. This is the very “Man of Lawlessness” that will sit in the holy place and declare himself God—something the Romans have always enjoyed doing to their rulers.
